DEWA enhances its operational preparedness through smart infrastructure and proactive plans
Many regions around the world, including Europe and the Americas, face significant challenges in ensuring the stability of energy and water networks, especially with the increasing pressures resulting from climate change, digital transformation and rising demand. In 2025, several European countries experienced frequent power outages due to weather fluctuations and inefficient ageing infrastructure, among other reasons. This gap highlights the importance of smart infrastructure and proactive investments, which Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) embodies through its world-leading systems.

DEWA Youth Forum highlights sustainable leadership and inter-council partnerships ahead of International Youth Day
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), inaugurated the Youth Forum organised by DEWA’s Youth Council ahead of International Youth Day 2025. The forum included panel discussions and interactive workshops, with broad participation of about 150 young men and women from DEWA employees, the Dubai Youth Council and members of the youth councils of Dubai Municipality, the Emirates Group, Emirates Global Aluminium and e&. It highlighted the achievements of DEWA’s youths in advancing the company’s global leadership and explored ways to empower young professionals in driving sustainable development and enhancing collaboration among youth councils.
