DEWA’s transmission investments exceed AED 10 billion as Dubai network expansion accelerates
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has announced that DEWA’s strategic investments in electricity transmission network projects now exceed AED 10 billion. He attributed DEWA’s sustained investment in strategic projects to the wise directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, whose vision has positioned Dubai as a global benchmark for continuous growth and infrastructure quality.

DEWA deepens alignment of its strategy and corporate values with Dubai-It approach
As part of the periodic review of its corporate strategy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has strengthened the alignment of its mission and corporate values with the Dubai-It initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This initiative champions a work culture grounded in rapid, precise execution and translating ambition into tangible outcomes, in line with Dubai’s approach to global leadership and future-shaping.

DEWA approved 61,183 NOC applications during the first half of 2026 under its Soqoor programme
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) approved 61,183 no-objection certificate (NOC) applications in the first half of 2026 under its Soqoor programme, which helps consultants and contractors obtain approvals on the first submission. During this period, the Transmission Power division approved 32,802 applications, the Distribution Power division handled 20,200 and the Water & Civil division approved 8,181. A total of 2,318 consultants and contractors submitted applications up to the end of June.
