DEWA Youth Council strengthens future leaders’ critical skills through Knowledge Challenge initiative
More than 50 young employees at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) took part in a Knowledge Challenge initiative aimed at strengthening critical skills such as decision-making and creative thinking under pressure. Organised by DEWA’s Youth Council, the initiative was designed to enhance participants’ professional capabilities by building expertise in key areas, including effective communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision making, while also fostering team spirit and a culture of collaboration.

DEWA’s Marafeq smart feature supports the approval of 25,643 Infrastructure NOCs from first half year of 2026
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) stated that DEWA approved 6,861 Informational Service applications through its Marafeq smart feature during the first half of 2026, enabling registered consultants and contractors to obtain faster approvals for 25,643 no-objection certificates (NOCs) for infrastructure Projects.

Suqia UAE’s Board of Trustees holds its second meeting of 2026
The Board of Trustees of the UAE Water Aid Foundation (Suqia UAE) held its second meeting of 2026, presided over by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Chairman of the Board of Trustees. The meeting was attended by HE Prof Ebrahim Al Hajri, President of Khalifa University of Science and Technology; Nasser Lootah, Executive Vice President of Generation at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA); Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development & Excellence at DEWA; Dr Yousef Al Akraf, Executive Vice President of Business Support and Human Resources at DEWA; and Mohammed Abdulkareem Al Shamsi, acting Executive Director of Suqia.
