“Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is at the forefront of utilities that launched initiatives and projects to reduce our carbon footprint and increase clean and renewable energy resources. We are implementing several pioneering projects to accelerate the transformation into a green economy, and achieve the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 goals and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050 to provide 100% of the energy production capacity from clean energy sources by 2050. These projects include the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, with a planned production capacity of 5,000MW by 2030; the Green Hydrogen Project; the pumped-storage hydroelectric power plant in Hatta using clean energy; projects to enhance energy efficiency; and the EV Green Charger initiative to promote green mobility.
