In line with its commitment to social responsibility, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organised the 2024 Summer Camp for People of Determination and Orphans from 31 July to 22 August 2024. The camp provided 60 students with interactive workshops and educational field visits to iconic sites such as the Museum of the Future and Dubai Frame. The initiative aimed to enhance the participants’ skills and talents in various fields while raising their awareness of sustainability.
This camp aligns with DEWA’s continuous efforts to empower youth, develop their skills, and prepare them to become future leaders in sustainability. DEWA is dedicated to investing students’ and youth’s time in a positive and safe environment, enriching their experiences and knowledge for the benefit of both the individual and society. DEWA places great importance on integrating and empowering people of determination within society, fostering their passions and talents in creativity, innovation, and the arts, and encouraging their continuous learning. This approach enables them to engage positively in their social environment as productive and creative individuals.
Students and their families praised DEWA’s efforts to provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages personal and educational development. The camp was designed to meet the cognitive abilities and age-specific needs of the students, ensuring they gained relevant knowledge and bringing science and technology closer to the new generation through practical applications. Additionally, the camp introduced participants to Dubai's rich cultural and tourist landscapes.
