Dubai, UAE, 9 October 2024: Dubai Women Establishment (DWE) today announced that Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will be the Strategic Partner for the upcoming Global Women’s Forum – Dubai 2024, taking place from 26-27 November at Madinat Jumeirah. This year’s Forum marks the third consecutive year DWE is organising the event.
The announcement further strengthens the long-standing collaboration between DWE and DEWA across various fields and initiatives. It also extends DEWA’s primary partnership and sponsorship of the Forum’s previous editions in 2016 and 2020. The Global Women’s Forum features panel discussions addressing significant topics, offering insights from global leaders, officials, and experts, along with representatives from international organisations and institutions committed to advancing women’s positive impact across all levels and sectors.
The partnership for the Forum’s latest edition reflects DEWA's continued support for this leading global event, which has become an influential international platform for discussing the role and contributions of women in various fields. Through open dialogue, inspiring workshops, and high-level meetings, the event aims to address challenges women face across the world. DEWA will also have a significant presence at the Forum through the Future Stand, a key feature of the event, hosting panel discussions on women's contributions across diverse sectors globally. Additionally, DEWA will lead dedicated sessions to highlight its achievements in creating a gender-inclusive work environment.

The two-day Forum features panel discussions and workshops addressing a variety of topics that focus on enhancing women's positive contribution and impact across three central themes of ‘Future Economies, Future Societies,’ ‘Collective Engagements, Collective Actions,’ and ‘Impactful Technologies, Impactful Innovations,’ Additionally, high-level workshops and sessions will be held during the event to explore and propose solutions aimed at encouraging governments and global organisations to intensify efforts to empower women, while also exchanging insights and ideas on the best ways to overcome the challenges they face.
During the Global Women's Forum 2020, DEWA hosted the “Future Stand,” which featured several of the Forum’s general sessions as well as DEWA-specific sessions. One such session, titled ‘Future of Innovation in Energy,’ highlighted the future of innovation and the role of women in fostering and embedding it as a workplace culture. The session focused on innovation in clean energy, Fourth Industrial Revolution applications, and AI technologies in the solar energy sector, contributing to Dubai's energy diversification and accelerating the transition to a knowledge-based economy, in line with the government’s vision. Meanwhile, at DEWA’s platform, several sessions held under the theme “Sustainability and Innovation” showcased the professional expertise and remarkable achievements of DEWA’s female employees in future foresight and the application of cutting-edge technologies.
