DEWA honours 41 distinguished employees

In line with its commitment to recognise employees for their dedicated service, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) honoured 41 distinguished employees as part of the Distinguished Employee and Best Team categories. The event was attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, Dr. Yousef Al Akraf, EVP of Business Support and Human Resources, as well as DEWA’s senior managers and associates. Al Tayer lauded the dedicated work of DEWA’s employees and assured that the management is committed to supporting its employees, and providing a competitive work environment. “We continually reinforce a culture of excellence amongst our staff to improve DEWA’s overall performance,” said Al Tayer. Supporting the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, that,” the job of government is to achieve happiness for people,” DEWA is always seeking to motivate and encourage its employees to provide a motivating environment filled with creativity to help them develop their skills, and achieve happiness. Our initiatives to recognise our employees creates a positive atmosphere that is one of the most important factors for our success, “said Al Tayer. “DEWA is keen to recognise distinguished employees and further strengthen their loyalty and sense of belonging. Through this ceremony, we aim strengthen positive competitiveness among our employees and division,” said Dr. Al Akraf. Al Tayer, accompanied by DEWA senior officials honoured the SAP CRM CTI team from Information Technology and Customer Services Divisions. The IT Team included Samir Michael Labbaci, Laila Ahmed Bandeali, Venkata Krishna Chava, Sathishkumar Selvarajan, Abdulrehman Ali Ghalib, Abeer Ali Hassan Bukhalaf, Abhijeet Ashok Rathi, Mohammed Aslehullah Shakil, Omar Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Khalid Abdulla Ahmad Bahlooq, Ali Mohd Ali Aljariri, andEssam Nasir Butt. The Customer Services included Abeer Haroun Eladawy, Muhammed Jamil, and Abdulaziz A. K. Abdulkuddous. Al Tayer honoured the Projects Water Transmission Team from Water and Civil Division, for winning the distinguished team – Technical Project category. The team consisted of Abdullah Mubarak Bin Alouba, Naga Khader Mohideen, Nijas Alool Thekke Valiya, Osama Said Hussein Hafez, Rashad Ali Ferdos, Jose Thomas, Shafeek Ahammed Ahammed, Syaed Abdul Kalaam, Shameem Yasar Mohammed, Hatem Elbaz Abou Alenein, Salah Abdalla Abd Elaziz, Ahmed Mohamed Said Abd Elgawad, Omar Mohd Ebrahim Alzaabi, Sumesh Mathai, and Devi Prasad. The Commercial department within the Business Support and Human Resources Division won the Distinguished Department category. Al Tayer presented the Award to Dawood Mohammed Khalid Ahmed, Senior Manager – Commercial department. Al Tayer honoured the winners of the Best Customer Service Employees category as follows: Maha Humaid Bin Huzaim, Best Cashier; Maryam Hilal Al Mutawa, Best Cash Supervisor; Tarek Salman Ali, Best Front Line Staff; Dina Aziz Saad Hanna, Best Front Line Supervisor; Maitha Ahmad Ali Alkous, Best Customer Care Agent; and Geogy V. Andrew, Best Customer Care Supervisor. Al Tayer also honoured the Best Cable Jointers from Projects Execution Department and Distribution Power Division, and presented the awards to Mohammed Razaq, Mohammed Amin Khadim Hussain, Palaniyandi Gurusamy, and Zahid Farooq Mohammed Farooq
