DEWA Women's Committee organises educational, wellness and entertainment activities for female staff

The Women's Committee at Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has organised a range of activities for all female staff to establish an interactive platform, where they can discuss different issues related to women and share their experiences, expertise, and knowledge that enhances the role of female professionals and empowers them in a multi-cultural work environment. The Women’s Committee has recently organised a number of healthcare, educational, and recreational activities for its female employees. The activities included a lecture on skin diseases and skin care by Dr. Anwar Al Hammadi, Consultant Dermatologist and board certified by both the American Board of Dermatology and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada. The lecture discussed common skin diseases such as eczema, acne, and malignant melanomas. Al Hammadi discussed causes, symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment. He also gave a presentation on ways to maintain glowing and healthy skin. A large number of DEWA female staff from across all divisions attended the lecture. The Women’s committee also organised a trip to Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo at The Dubai Mall, which is one of the largest indoor aquariums in the world and a popular tourist attraction in the city.
