HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has honoured Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) for its sponsorship of the 19th Dubai International Holy Quran Award on its final day. The award was established in 1998 following a directive by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presented the award for DEWA to Abdullah Obaidullah, Executive Vice President of Water and Civil, who received it on behalf of HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA. The recognition recognises institutions for their support to achieve the vision of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to promote community activities that instil values that promote the religion and national heritage. DEWA sponsored the ceremony in line with its corporate social responsibility and as part of its continuing efforts to support successful community initiatives to establish Dubai as a global humanitarian and cultural centre.
