Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) Women’s Committee organised a series of virtual workshops during Ramadan to raise the awareness of female employees about healthy food habits and the noble principles of the Holy Month that emphasise the importance of avoiding food waste. The workshops focused on effective time management to achieve balance during the month of worship, strengthening human, social and family connections, and continuing the pursuit of professional excellence.
“We support DEWA’s efforts to promote the health of female employees and to encourage them to return to the positive behaviours rooted in our society, based on responsible consumption of food and resources. The Committee also provides advice aimed at making a positive impact on female employees and their families. This contributes to building a healthy and happy community that sustains the resources we have been blessed with. Community members can enjoy a high quality of life and well-being, as well as the values of solidarity, social cohesion and care,” said Fatima Al Jokar, Chairperson of the Women’s Committee at DEWA.
