Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), in collaboration with Microsoft, organised an event on utilising advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities in enhancing productivity and stimulating creativity in the work environment. The event included panel discussions and workshops on advanced solutions provided by generative AI to streamline day-to-day tasks, strengthen collaboration between working teams and improve time management by automating processes. Participants highlighted the practical potential of AI in different work environments and its ability to keep pace with the demands of the modern job market, enabling individuals and institutions to focus on key priorities. The event also introduced DEWA employees to the functionalities of the Microsoft 365 Copilot smart assistant that DEWA provides to its employees to improve performance and productivity, as well as enhance the happiness of employees and customers.
Participants also explored opportunities to develop DEWA’s stakeholder happiness plan. The updated plan included ways to provide a pioneering, value-added experience that enhances the happiness of all stakeholders and provides quality and proactive services based on an accurate understanding of their needs. This is expected to establish Dubai's global leadership and competitiveness in various fields of AI by using it in constructive and positive ways for the benefit of several stakeholders, enhancing their quality of life and happiness.
DEWA recently launched AI projects in accordance with its road map for using generative AI and the strategic framework designed to integrate generative AI across all operational processes and services. Projects, initiatives and use cases based on AI have radically changed the efficiency and happiness of stakeholders in the short and long term.
DEWA has expanded the use of generative AI to include a wide range of vital areas, including the ‘Rammas for You’ and ‘Rammas at Work’ virtual assistants, information security, the SAP system, employees’ digital experience, DEWA’s Evaluation Centre, as well as human resources services, security policies, financial data, the customer eServices portal, IT Support Office services, governance and compliance procedures, future insights platforms, Power BI and LinkedIn Learning.
