Service Description

This service transfers electricity and water from one to another premises within Dubai as per customer’s needs, through the digital integration with the Dubai Land Department (via real estate management companies and authorized Dubai Land Department offices) upon “Ejari” issuance.

This also includes the transfer of security deposit from the old to the new account.

  • Settling the outstanding dues, if any, for existing premises before applying for Move To.
  • Customers have to pay security deposit, if required.

Service Requirements

  • Contract account number for your existing premises from which you are planning to Move out .
  • Move Out date.
  • Move in Premise number.
  • Valid Ejari number for Move-in premise
  • Valid tenancy contract for free zone customers
  • Trade License for other than Department of Economic Development Customer
  • Title Deed for new premises (For Owners)
  • Passport Image/Emirates Id No. for (GCC Nationals/Investors)

Service Steps & Procedures

  • Settling the outstanding dues, if any, for existing premises before applying for Move To.
  • Paying Security Deposit, if required
  • Submitting request for Move To.
  • Getting a Notification number through SMS and/or Email for tracking of request.
  • Connecting the Electricity & Water supply for Move in premises.
  • Disconnecting the Electricity & Water supply for Move out premise. on customer specified date.
  • Getting Final Bill for Move out premises.

Service Fees

Deactivation of Electricity/Water (Move-out):
  • D 100 for disconnecting electricity and water (small meters).
  • D 300 for disconnecting electricity and water meters (large meters).
  • D 10 for knowledge fee
  • D 10 for innovation fee
  • Thukher and Sanad cardholders (UAE nationals) are entitled to 50% discount on De-activation charges*

 

Activation Charges:
  • D 100 for connecting electricity and water (small meters).*
  • D 300 for connecting Electricity and water meters (large meters).*
  • D 10 for registration.
  • D 10 for knowledge fee
  • D 10 for innovation fee.
  • “Thukher” and “Sanad” cardholders (UAE nationals) are entitled to 50% discount on Activation charges**

 

Security Deposit:
  • D 2,000 for a Flat (Residential Premises).
  • D 4,000 for a villa (Residential Premises).
  • For non-residential premises, the security deposit is calculated based on the premise’s consumption.
  • Security deposit for property owners will be refunded upon sale of the premise only.
  • If there is any difference in Security Deposit amount, this has to be paid before submission of the service request.

 

“Thukher” and “Sanad” Cards:

* “Thukher” Card for Senior Citizens aged 60 and above (issued by Community Development Authority) includes privileges and access to services and facilities in Dubai

* “Sanad” Card for People of Determination (issued by Community Development Authority) includes privileges and access to a package of services and facilities in Dubai

This service is available through IVR only if there is Ejari available, no outstanding amount on the account, and Move To is for the same premise type with no change in security deposit (eg. Villa to villa, or Flat to Flat).

Service Delivery Time

  • Move in (15 working hours from required security deposit payment / transfer)
  • Move out (24 working hours from the selected date and time)
