United in spirit, DEWA showcases Emirati heritage as it celebrates 54th Eid Al Etihad

In an atmosphere brimming with pride, belonging and patriotism, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) celebrated the 54th UAE National Day under the theme ‘United’. The celebrations at DEWA's headquarters were attended by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, alongside Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents and a large number of DEWA employees. The event featured a variety of patriotic segments that expressed gratitude to the nation, embodied the values of the Union and reinforced the spirit of unity and pride. Highlights included a poetry session featuring Musabah Ali Al Kaabi, Mohammed Al Sharif, Fatima Al Harz and Hamdan Al Samahi.

On the occasion of Eid Al Etihad, Al Tayer extended his heartfelt congratulations to HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; their Highnesses, the Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates; their Highnesses, the Crown Princes and Deputy Rulers; as well as all citizens and residents of the UAE.

“Eid Al Etihad is a national occasion that renews our faith in the strength of our unity and the depth of our cultural identity, and reaffirms the enduring values that guide the blessed journey that began with the founding of the UAE by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and the Founding Fathers, may their souls rest in peace. They instilled in the people of the UAE a spirit of determination, loyalty and belonging. This spirit is becoming more deeply rooted under our wise leadership, which has placed humanity at the forefront of development priorities and made the UAE a success story that inspires the world. The theme ‘United’ reaffirms that our unity is the source of our strength, ensuring that the UAE flag remains a symbol of pride, sovereignty and leadership as we move with determination and confidence towards our shared goal – the advancement of a safe and prosperous nation that inspires the world with its values and achievements,” said Al Tayer.

“On this day, we recall the glories of the past, celebrate the achievements of the present and renew our determination to create a future worthy of the aspirations of all Emiratis. We reaffirm that we will continue to work in unity, loyal to our country and its wise leadership, and sincere in our giving – always striving to keep the UAE at the forefront as a nation that embraces the future with confidence and writes new chapters of glory through the efforts of its people. We ask Allah Almighty to protect our dear homeland, and to continue to bless us with security, safety, stability and prosperity,” added Al Tayer.

DEWA’s celebrations featured an array of heritage-inspired activities, national events and competitions. They were held across DEWA’s centres in Jebel Ali, Al Hudaiba, the Sustainable Building in Al Quoz, Warsan, Al Ruwayyah and the Sustainability and Innovation Centre at the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. Additionally, DEWA launched a dedicated website featuring various topics related to Eid Al Etihad, highlighting national values and pioneering achievements that have established the UAE as a model of unity, progress and prosperity.
