Under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will organise the 28th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) from 20 to 22 October 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The Health and Safety Hub at WETEX 2026 will host a range of activities and exhibitions, including the Health and Safety Conference, which will feature sessions and panel discussions on the latest developments in occupational health and safety in schools, homes and workplaces. The conference will bring together senior executives and experts from around the world in health, safety, wellbeing, emergency preparedness and emerging workplace risks. Discussions will focus on promoting health and wellbeing, and the role of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies in managing different types of risks, particularly in high-risk environments, while enhancing quality of life within a robust governance framework.

The conference will also explore preventive practices that support wellbeing, recognising people as the most valuable asset for sustaining success and advancing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).

The Health and Safety Conference at WETEX highlights the latest developments, innovations and technologies that help strengthen a culture of health and safety, protect people and safeguard property and the environment, both in the workplace and across society,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA and Founder and Chairman of WETEX.
