HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed Asaad Saadeh, Head of Water Resources for Asia, Oceania and Africa at Nestlé Waters. The high-level meeting explored strategic collaboration in sustainability. Discussions focused on DEWA's pioneering efforts in increasing efficiency and reviewed Nestlé Waters' projects in sustainability and innovation.
Al Tayer reaffirmed DEWA's commitment to innovation-driven sustainability, with the goal of positioning Dubai as a global model for environmental conservation. DEWA's initiatives, which include advanced technologies and forward-thinking policies, have significantly contributed to economic growth and the development of vital sectors across different areas.
"Our partnership with global industry leaders like Nestlé Waters reflects our strategic focus on promoting innovation and sustainability. Together, we can optimise resource utilisation and drive efficiency," said Al Tayer.
The two sides discussed opportunities to implement joint initiatives that promote public-private partnerships in addressing global challenges and the use of artificial intelligence and Internet of Things technologies to enhance efficiency. They also discussed sustainability research.
During the meeting, Saadeh praised DEWA's achievements in the field of sustainability, and expressed Nestlé Waters’ willingness to strengthen co-operation with leading, advanced institutions such as DEWA.
