Reinforcing its leading position locally, regionally and globally, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) won 502 prestigious awards between 2015 and 2025, comprising 344 international awards, 82 regional awards and 76 local awards.

The local and international awards that DEWA receives reflect the leadership’s vision to consolidate a culture of excellence and enhance the UAE’s global competitiveness. These awards motivate our teams to continue the journey of excellence and pioneering leadership, confirming that our strategy – built on sustainability, innovation and digital transformation – is moving in the right direction. The awards we receive are not an end in themselves but, rather, a natural outcome of our commitment to delivering world-class services and developing pioneering projects that support Dubai’s vision to become the world’s most sustainable and innovative city,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.
Al Tayer pointed out that DEWA places customers at the top of its priorities and continuously works to enhance their experience through integrated digital solutions and smart proactive services, supported by the latest artificial intelligence (AI) and Big Data analytics. This contributes to enhancing happiness and quality of life in Dubai.
Prestigious awards in 2025
Among the awards DEWA received in 2025 were six honours at the Best Business Awards 2025, one of the UK’s most high-profile accolades. These included the Climate Change Award for its carbon emission reduction programme, the Best Sustainable Process/Product Award for its My Sustainable Living Programme, the Digital Marketing Campaign of the Year Award for its innovative campaign supporting its listing on the Dubai Financial Market and the Best Team Initiative Award for the exceptional efforts of its Power Network Load Transfer Planning team.
DEWA also received the Best Innovation Award for its digital programme that assesses the harmonic emissions measurements of distributed solar energy systems, as well as the Best Team Award for its internally developed digital platform Derasat, which represents a qualitative achievement in digital innovation and power network data analytics.
At the UAE Innovates Award, DEWA won the Most Innovative Digital Transformation award for its digitally optimised substation project. The Sustainability and Innovation Centre also received the SEAL Business Sustainability Award for Pioneering Sustainability Services. Further underscoring DEWA’s financial excellence, the Hassyan desalination plant earned the Best Financial Deal in the Middle East awards from both IJGlobal and Global Banking & Markets.
DEWA also won three Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards. Rammas For You won the silver award for Best Advance in Generative AI for Business Impact. The Sustainability and Innovation Centre won two awards, including the gold award for Best Advance in Education Delivered through Technology, in recognition of its excellence in digital education related to sustainability and future skills, as well as the silver award for Best Advance in Social Impact Innovation for its role in enhancing social impact through sustainability and innovation.
DEWA won two Reuters Global Energy Transition Awards 2025, presented by Thomson Reuters. The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park, implemented by DEWA, won the Low Carbon Energy Generation Award, while DEWA’s Sustainability and Innovation Centre won the Transition Advocator Award.
DEWA also received five distinguished awards from the British Safety Council in the 2025 cycle, including the Sword of Honour in Health and Safety for the 18th time, the Globe of Honour in Environmental Management for the 14th consecutive time and the Shield of Honour in Employee Well-being for the second time. DEWA was also recognised as the Best Entity in the Power and Utilities Sector in Environment and Well-being by the British Safety Council for the second consecutive year in 2025.
Furthermore, DEWA won the Innovative Power Technology of the Year – UAE award at the Asian Power Awards 2025, one of the most prestigious regional honours in the energy sector.
