DEWA reinforces global leadership in AI-driven services with over 7.4 million digital transactions in H1 2026
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), stated that DEWA’s pioneering digital transformation strategy, which made it the first government entity and first utility worldwide to offer services through artificial intelligence (AI) platforms beyond traditional websites and smart applications, has enabled customers to complete more than 7.4 million digital transactions in the first half of 2026 while digital adoption reached 99.5% by the end of June. DEWA also strengthened its digital ecosystem through more than 115 integration projects with 65 government and private-sector organisations.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer welcomes Sultan Al Neyadi to approve the “Youth Space” at the world’s tallest, largest, and smartest net-positive energy government building
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD&CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), welcomed HE Sultan Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, at Al Shera’a the new headquarters of DEWA the largest, tallest and smartest net-positive government building in the world. The Minister of State for Youth Affairs approved the first Youth Spaces within a net-positive building. The spaces will be located at Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Hall, at Al Shera’a. During the visit, the Minister of State for Youth Affairs was briefed on DEWA’s key achievements and future projects, as well as the accomplishments and future plans of DEWA’s Youth Council. DEWA’s Youth Council received the Best National Government Youth Council 2025 Award in the UAE, in recognition of its pioneering efforts to support young people and develop their capabilities.

Al Shera’a strengthens global sustainability leadership with LEED platinum certification for New Construction category
Al Shera’a, the new headquarters of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has achieved a new global milestone by earning Platinum certification in the New Construction category of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system, the highest level awarded by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). The building earned 102 out of 110 points, further cementing its position as one of the world’s leading sustainable government projects.
