How to create DEWA an Online Account to use DEWA smart service?

  • Go to www.dewa.gov.ae
  • Click on Login
  • Click on Consumer Category and DEWA ID
  • If you have a UAE Pass account or DEWA ID you can enter your username and password to use smart services
  • If you do not have a UAE Pass account, click on UAE pass and create a new account, Or you can create your DEWA ID by clicking on “Create an Account”
  • Click on Create an Account
  • Enter your Business Partner Number or Account Number
  • Click on Register
  • Receive Verification Code by Email or Mobile Number
  • Click on Get Verification Code
  • Then Click on Next to receive Verification Code
  • Enter your verification code you received and click on submit
  • Now set up your Username and password to complete your registration
  • Agree to the terms and conditions
  • Click on Creating Account

Congratulations! Your DEWA online account has been successfully created

How to pay your bill online through the DEWA website

You can pay your bill through a variety of channels.

These steps will show you how to use services through Easy Pay or pay your bill online.

First option: Easy Pay

You can pay for the following services.

  • To pay your DEWA bill through easy pay go to www.dewa.gov.ae
  • Click on menu
  • Click on consumer, followed by Billing and Easy Pay
  • Enter your Easy Pay number and click on inquire
  • Click on login to pay
  • Login with username and password
  • Edit the amounts if needed
  • Then click on set and click on pay
  • Choose the payment method and click on pay
  • Fill in the details and click on pay
  • Click on “Ok proceed with charging” for one time password
  • Enter the amount received through sms and click on confirm

Congratulations your bill payment is successful

Second option : Go directly to bill payment

  • Go to www.dewa.gov.ae
  • Click on menu
  • Click on consumer, followed by billing, and bill payment
  • Log in with username and password
  • Select Accounts
  • Review or edit amount if required
  • Click on pay
  • Choose your payment method
  • Click on pay
  • Fill in the details and click on pay
  • Click on “Ok proceed with charging” for one time password
  • Enter the amount received through sms and click on confirm

Request for activation of electricity and water (Move in)

This service activates electricity and water for the new premise

If you are new to Dubai, new customer or existing customer, you can apply for activation of electricity and water (Move in) in two ways

   A.   Through real estate regulatory agency RERA

        Dubai Land department after tenant issues Ejari contract from Real Estate Management company

        RERA approved typing centres

Welcome email from DEWA will be sent to customer automatically, including DEWA Contract Account number and link for payment of security deposit

   B.   Or apply for the service directly through DEWA website or smart app once you receive the tenancy contract and or Ejari

For owners: Fill in the online application form with the required information

How to apply for activation of electricity and water (Move in) through the DEWA website

Option 1 - If you are new to dubai or a new customer go to www.dewa.gov.ae

  • Click on menu, followed by Consumer, Supply management and Activation of Electricity Water (Move in)
  • Read the information then click on “New in Dubai”
  • Select the appropriate category and fill in the form and the contact details
  • Attach the required documents
  • If applicable, Click on continue
  • Create your username and password and confirm password
  • Agree to terms and conditions, and click on continue
  • Confirm payment details
  • Agree to terms and conditions and Click on pay
  • Choose payment method and Click on pay
  • Fill in details and Click on pay
  • Click on Ok, Proceed with charging for one time password
  • Enter amount and Click on confirm

Congratulations your request for Activation Electricity Water (Move in) has been successfully submitted and you will receive Electricity and Water supply within 15 hours

Option 2 - If you are an existing customer go to www.dewa.gov.ae

  • Click on menu followed by Consumer, Supply Management and Activation of electricity water (Move in)
  • Read information then click on apply online
  • Login with username and password
  • Select the appropriate category and fill in the form and the contact details
  • Attach the required documents
  • If applicable, click on continue
  • Choose payment method and Click on pay
  • Fill in details and Click on pay
  • Click on “Ok, proceed with charging” for one time password
  • Enter the amount and Click on confirm

Congratulations, your request for Activation Electricity Water (Move in) has been successfully submitted and you will receive Electricity and Water supply within 15 hours

Request for transfer of electricity and water (Move to)

If you are transferring from one premise to another premise within Dubai, you do not need to apply Move-out for the old premise and Move-in for the new premise

All you have to do is request from Move-to, and your security deposit and balance will be transferred from your old to your new account

How to apply for transfer of Electricity/Water (Move-to) through the DEWA website

  • Go to www.dewa.gov.ae
  • Click on menu, followed by Consumer, Supply Management, and transfer of Electricity/Water (Move-to)
  • Read the information and click on apply online
  • Log in using UAE pass or your DEWA username and password
  • Select the account number and date of disconnection and click on continue
  • Fill in details about Move-to your new premises
  • Read the terms and conditions
  • Click on calculate then submit

  • Click on proceed

  • Select the date and time of disconnection, and refund method if refund is applicable
  • Attach the required document if applicable
  • Accept the terms and conditions
  • Review and click on confirm
