HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer: 1,860 charging points in Dubai
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), announced that the EV Green Charger network has grown to more than 1,860 charging points across Dubai, including stations licensed by DEWA in collaboration with government and private sector entities. By mid-January 2026, the EV Green Charger initiative had enrolled 23,600 registered users, with DEWA providing more than 55,200 megawatt hours (MWh) of electricity since its 2014 launch – enough to power more than 276 million kilometres of electric-vehicle travel.

DEWA to organise the 28th edition of WETEX from 20 to 22 October 2026
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will organise the 28th edition of the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX), under the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy. The event will take place from 20 to 22 October 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

DEWA participates in the 4th Emirates Nature-WWF Leaders of Change programme
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) is participating in the fourth cycle of the Leaders of Change Programme, an initiative by Emirates Nature-WWF, the UAE-based environmental organisation affiliated with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (WWF). The programme aims to enhance knowledge of the local natural environment while developing employee expertise through training sessions, field visits and interactive activities across the UAE. It focuses on honing personal and professional skills, promoting community engagement in climate action and shaping a positive future for nature. To date, 334 participants from various DEWA divisions have taken part in the programme.
